To obtain the subject composition capable of manifesting extremely superior weather resistance, adhesion or the like by including a specific silyl group as a cross-linkable group, a vinyl-based copolymer having specified physical properties and a hardening catalyst as essential ingredients.
This composition consists essentially of (A) 100 pts.wt. vinyl- based copolymer obtained by copolymerizing 1-30 pts.wt. vinyl-based monomer having a silyl group of the formula [R1 is a 1-10C alkyl or the like; X is H, a halogen, hydroxy, an alkoxy or the like; (a) is an integer of 0-2], 1-30 pts.wt. vinyl-based monomer having acid anhydride group and 98-40 pts.wt. other copolymerizable vinyl-based monomers, and having an essential cross-linkable group of the formula, 40-100°C glass transition temperature, and 2,000-20,000 number average molecular weight, and (B) 0.01-10 pts.wt. hardening catalyst. As a result, a powder coating material providing a coating membrane having excellent weather resistance, impact resistance or the like, and excellent in preservation stability can be provided at a low-cost.
