Abstract:
To provide a recombinant DNA molecule whose structural gene manifests chitinase in a vegetable cell, to provide a DNA sequence producing gene products connected with the chitinase and specifically oriented to the vegetable vacuole, to produce a mutant and a variety thereof, and to provide use thereof.
The recombinant DNA molecule contains a DNA sequence operationally connected with a chitinase-manifesting DNA in a vegetable cell by using a genetic engineering method, the vector is derived therefrom, the host cell and/or host organism such as a transgenic vegetable containing the vector and the method for using them are provided.
