Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject new compound useful as an antitumor agent and immune activating agent.

CONSTITUTION: The compound of formula I [x is 20-22; R is -(CH2)11-CH(CH3)2, -(CH2)11-CH(CH3)-CH2CH3, -(CH2)11CH3 or -(CH2)12-CH3], e.g. the compound of formula II. The compound of formula I can be prepared by collecting Agelas mauritianus (a kind of porifera), extracting with an organic solvent and separating from the extract.
