Abstract:

To provide a catalyst for olefin polymerization by which an olefin polymer having excellent molding processability can be produced.

The catalyst for the olefin polymerization includes a transition metal compound represented by formula (1) (wherein, M is Ti, Zr or Hf), and a cocatalyst component for activation. A part of the chemical structure of the transition metal compound represented by formula (1) is represented by structural formulas (Q).
