Abstract:

To make it possible to obtain a cured material having high surface hardness and low shrinkage factor and excellent in weatherability by using a composition consisting of urethane (meth)acrylate and a polymerizable ethylenically unsaturated monomer.

The urethane (meth)acrylate is represented by formula I [wherein n is 2 to 30; and X is CH2=CR1-CO-(O-Y)m-NH-CO- (wherein R1 is H or methyl; m is 0 to 1; and Y is -CH2-CH2-, -CH2-CH2-CH2-, -CH2-CH(CH3)-, or -CH(CH3)-CH2-)]. It is obtained by reacting an insocyanate represented by the formula CH2=CR1-CO-(O-Y)m-NCO with a polyol represented by formula II. It can be used as a resin composition obtained by blending it with a polymerizable monomer having ethylenically unsaturated bonds.
