Abstract:

To provide a method for producing a shape memory alloy actuator which has little deterioration in fatigue characteristics even if shear strain is increased to about 3%, and for which a control means by a resistance value feed back method can be used.

In the production method for the Ni-Ti based shape memory alloy actuator, the composition of Ni in an alloy used for the actuator is controlled to 0.509 to 0.511 by atomic ratio. The shape memorizing heat treatment temperature is controlled to 340°C (613 K) to 360°C (633 K), and the shape memorizing heat treatment time is controlled to 45 to 75 min.
