Abstract:

To reduce a defect of an internal structure and to absorb an abnormal voltage signal such as surge by forming an electrode for an inductor and an electrode for a capacitor and a varistor on a same plane of a base whose surface is made of a ceramic through screen printing.

An interdigital electrode 13 and a cranked electrode 12 so as to opposite to three teeth of the interdigital electrode 13 are formed on the surface of a ceramic varistor base 11 of the noise absorbing element 10 by the thick film print method. A dielectric layer 14 is formed to cover a space inserted between the cranked electrode 12 and the interdigital electrode 13, a part other than both ends of the cranked electrode 12 and a tooth parts of the interdigital electrode 13 by the thick film print method. The parts of the cranked electrode 12 not covered by the dielectric layer 14 act like terminal electrodes 12a, 12b and a part of the interdigital electrode 13 not covered by the dielectric layer 14 acts like a terminal electrode 13a. Then a capacitor and varistor characteristic is obtained between the cranked electrode 12 and the interdigital electrode 13 and an inductance is obtained by the cranked electrode 12.
