Abstract:
PURPOSE: To cancel respective higher harmonic components in an engine noise with good follow-up performance and stability.
CONSTITUTION: Noise cancellation controllers 14-1, 14-2, and 14-3 are provided corresponding to respective higher harmonic components which are relatively large in level among the higher harmonic components of engine rotating frequency included in the engine noise; and the noise cancellation canter 14-1 for a specific higher harmonic component (secondary higher harmonic component) performs an adaptive signal process by using a coefficient update expression which does not contain an output limit term limiting the level of an output signal NCD2 and other noise cancellation controllers 14-2 and 14-3 for other higher harmonic components performs adaptive signal processes by using a coefficient update expression which contains the output limit terms limiting the levels of output signals NCD4 and NCD6. Then the output signals of the respective noise cancellation controllers are summed up and inputted as a noise canceling signal to a speaker 17.
