Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform noise suppression causing little distortion to even a voice signal having a low SN ratio or a voice signal including noise emitted unsteadily.
SOLUTION: A sound or silence deciding part 103 decides the sound or silence of whether a voice spectrum is a sound part including voice or a silence part of only noise excluding voice. A noise spectrum estimation part 104 estimates a noise spectrum on the basis of the voice spectrum judged as silence. A signal noise ratio(SNR) estimation part 105 determines voice signal power from the sound part in the voice spectrum and noise signal power from the silent part, and then calculates an SNR from the ratio of these two values. A suppression coefficient control part 106 outputs the upper limit of suppression coefficients to a spectrum subtractive part 107 on the basis of the sound or silence determination and the value of the SNR. The spectrum subtractive part 107 subtracts a noise spectrum estimated from the voice spectrum inputted, and outputs the voice spectrum in which the noise is suppressed.
