Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a noise suppressor which realizes shortening of convergence time and decrease of strains after convergence.
CONSTITUTION: This noise suppressor includes an adaptive filter 4 which forms a first pseudo signal by using a noise signal and a subtractor 5 which forms a first differential signal by subtracting the first pseudo signal from a voice signal superposed with the noise signal. Further, the noise suppressor has an adaptive filter 6 which forms a second pseudo signal corresponding to the first pseudo signal by using the noise signal. A second differential signal is formed by obtaining the difference between the first and second pseudo signals by a subtractor 7. A power averaging circuit 9 forms a first power averaging signal according to the first pseudo signal. A power averaging circuit 8 forms a second power averaging signal according to the second differential signal. A step size calculating circuit 10 forms a step size signal according to the first and second power averaging signals. The respective filter coeffts. of the first and second adaptive filters are updated according to the step size signals.
