To provide a non contact type charger, along with a non contact type charging apparatus, wherein heating of a foreign substance is prevented with a simple circuit.
A switch 106 for cutting off a current I that flows a primary side coil 104A is provided in an oscillation circuit 104 of a charging stage 80. The switch 106 is operated by a control part 101. The control part 101 of a charging stage 80 actuates the switch 106 in the oscillation circuit 104 according to the value of current I that flows in the primary side coil 104A of the oscillation circuit 104. By this, it stops magnetic flux energy generated from the primary side coil 104A of the oscillation circuit 104, or regenerates the magnetic flux energy from the primary side coil 104A of the oscillation circuit 104. Thus, heating of foreign substance such as metal present in a placement recess 81a of the charging stage 80 is avoided, and then a slave unit 50 placed on the placement recess 81a of the charging stage 80 is charged.
