Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a non-rigid polymer composition free from the bleeding and separation of a plasticizer and a softening agent and having an excellent vibration-damping property.
SOLUTION: This polymer composition comprises (A) a chlorinated polyethylene having 15-50 wt.% chlorine content and (B) a rosin ester and/or coumarone- indene oil having ≤60°C softening temperature in the weight ratio of the component A/B of 5-40:95-60. The preferable chlorinated polyethylene has ≤5 cal/g quantity of heat of fusion measured by a differential scanning calorimeter. Preferably the weight ratio of the component A:B is 5-25:95-75. A non-rigid crosslinked polymer substance can be obtained by supplying a compound consisting of the non-rigid polymer composition and a crosslinking agent capable of crosslinking the chlorinated polyethylene into a processing machinery capable of melting and kneading the compound to dynamically crosslink the chlorinated polyethylene.
