Abstract:
To provide a new propulsion device which is safer than a conventional propulsion device and can suppress noise without sacrificing thrust.SOLUTION: A non-shaft propulsion device 1 includes a rotary electric motor including an annular stator 2 and an annular rotor 5. The stator 2 has a stator body 21 and a ring-shaped coil arrangement 23. The stator body 21 has: an annular part 25 having a cavity 3 inside; a suction port 27 formed on an upper surface side of the stator body 21; a bottom part 29 formed with an exhaust port 28; a duct 31 having a sound absorption material; and a honeycomb-shaped cover 33 provided on the suction port 27. The rotor 5 has: a rotor body 51 provided so as to rotate outside the annular part 25 of the stator body; and ring-shaped permanent magnet arrangements 53 and 54. The rotor body 51 supports the permanent magnet arrangements 53 and 54, and has a fan 65 for thrust generation and a fan 66 for cooling.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
