Abstract:

To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte which does not cause phase separation of a fluorine-based solvent and a non-fluorine-based solvent, has high ion conductivity, and further, exhibits excellent flame retardancy, regarding the nonaqueous electrolyte for nonaqueous secondary batteries.

A flame-retarded nonaqueous electrolyte contains 10 to 80% in a volume ratio of fluorine-containing ether which is represented by general formula (1), HCF2CH2OR, where in the formula, R represents a linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms or a halogen-containing linear or branched alkyl group having 1 to 10 carbon atoms.
