To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which is excellent in adhesion and conductivity between a collector and an active material, and improves cycle capacity maintaining characteristics, and in which an adhesion layer is stable with respect to the solvent in the electrolyte, thereby having good keeping for a long period of time.
The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode 11 which has a positive electrode active material layer 13 formed on a surface of a positive electrode collector 12, the active material containing a first binding agent; a negative electrode 14 which has a negative electrode active material layer 17 formed on a surface of a negative electrode collector 16, and active material containing the same binding agent as the first binding agent or a second binding agent different from the first biding agent; and an electrolyte 18 containing nonaqueous electrolyte which is disposed between the positive electrode active material layer and the negative electrode active material layer. Furthermore, this secondary battery has a first adhesion layer 19 between the positive electrode collector and the positive electrode active material layer, and a second adhesion layer 21 between the negative electrode collector and the negative electrode active material, the first and second adhesion layers respectively containing both of a conductive material and the same binding agent as the first or second binding agent or a third binding agent different therefrom, the third binding agent containing a first polymer containing fluorine which has weight-average molecular weight MW of 100000 to 500000.
