Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance cycle characteristics of a lithium secondary battery, especially to enhance cycle characteristics of a battery using an amorphous oxide or a chalcogen compound in a negative electrode material by including metal alcoxide in the battery. SOLUTION: Metal alcoxide contained in a battery is a compound represented by general formula: M(OR)n . In the formula, M represents Al, Si, Sc, Ti, Ge, Y, Zr, Sn, lanthanide, Hf, and Pb. R represents an alkyl group and an aryl group and (n) is an integer of 3-6 depending on the valency of metal. As the M, Al, Si, Ti, Zr, and Ge are preferable, and as the R, the alkyl group is preferable. The metal alcoxide is preferably contained in an electrolyte. Its content is preferably 1 g or more but 50 g or less per kg of the electrolyte.
