To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery capable of attaining an high energy density by ensuring a good cycle performance, even if a graphite material is applied as a negative electrode.
This nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery consists of at least a positive electrode, consisting of a transition metallic oxide including lithium, a negative electrode made of a graphite material, and nonaqueous electrolytic solution including lithium ions. The graphite material for the negative electrode is used as a material with a spacing d(002) of 3.38 or less for (002) surface, and at least one kind selected from among vinyl sulfones shown in formula 1 below and vinyl esters shown in formula 2 below is contained by 1 to 10 (vol.%) in the nonaqueous electrolytic solution. Formula 1: CH2=CHSO2 R1 (R1 is methyl group or ethyl group.) Formula 2: CH2= CHCO2 R2 (R2 is methyl group or ethyl group.).
