To provide a noncontact type temperature sensor with which temperaturei can be correctly detected even when direct sunlight shines on, by a simple constitution.
The noncontact type temperature sensor consists of a far-infrared ray receiving part which is disposed inside a transparent plate material and detects far-infrared rays radiated from the transparent plate material and an operation circuit which computes a detected temperature, based on a detection signal from the far-infrared ray receiving part, and includes an optical filter which is disposed in an optical path from the transparent plate material to the far-infrared ray receiving part. The noncontact type temperature sensor 10 is so constituted that the optical filter has optical characteristics that an infrared component transmitted through the optical filter and falling into the light reception sensitivity of the far-infrared ray receiving part does not overlap with the infrared component contained in the direct sunlight which is transmitted through the atmosphere and comes incident.
