Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new flame retardant which imparts a high flame retardancy to a polyurethane resin without detriment to the characteristics of the resin.
CONSTITUTION: This flame retardant is obtd. by melt reacting a polyurethane resin, a polyepoxy compd., and a phenol resin and/or at least one nonhalogen flame retardant selected from epoxy-reactive phosphorus, nitrogen, and boron compds.
