Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonlinear optical material having high heat resistance and excellent nonlinear optical characteristics.
SOLUTION: The nonlinear optical material consists of a thin film containing polyimide, a nonlinear optical substance and a low-temperature curing accelerator. At least one kind selected from the group consisting of (AC1) a substituted or unsubstituted nitrogenous heterocyclic compound of 0 to 8 in acid dissociation index pKa of the proton complex in an aqueous solution, (AC2) a substituted or unsubstituted amino acid component and (AC3) an aromatic hydrocarbon compound or aromatic heterocyclic compound of a molecular weight of ≤1,000 having at least ≥2 pieces of hydroxy groups may be used as the low- temperature curing accelerator.
