PURPOSE: To provide nonmagnetic ceramics for magnetic head which are superior in workability, large in resistivity and easily enable to produce the nonmagnetic ceramics with high density.

CONSTITUTION: One kind or ≥ two kinds among oxides of Cr, Mo, Ta and W are added in the range of 0.1-5wt.% as an additive to Fe2O3 to be sintered. Thus crystalline particle size is without degrading various characteristics of micronized thermal expansion coefficient, hardness, strength and electric resistance, and the workability is improved, and the nonmagnetic ceramics which enable to use for the magnetic head, with less chipping, are obtained.
