Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a weft yarn feeder for a loom designed to enable the storage of fed yarn in an always constant amount in a state of no twist and an ultralow tension.
CONSTITUTION: Yarn (Y) positively fed with a feed roller 9 and a pinch roller 14 is placed in a meandering state on the top surface of a conveyor belt 42 transferred at a set speed along the upper part of a yarn supporting pedestal 35 in a screenlike form, alternately hung in the form of U on both sides of a yarn supporting pedestal 42, stored in this state and then delivered to a loom. A storing area of the yarn (Y) is formed in a duct 37 having air streams to fix the yarn (Y) to the conveyor belt surface 42 and fluff, etc., sticking to the belt surface 42 with the air streams is removed.
