Title:
NONWOVEN FABRIC AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3458924
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a nonwoven fabric excellent in dimensional stability and adhesivity and useful for filters, etc., by extruding polybutylene terephthalate, polyethylene terephthalate, etc., having prescribed intrinsic viscosities, respective ly, in a specific ratio under specified conditions, and subsequently dividing the molded product.
SOLUTION: The first component comprising polybutylene terephthalate having an intrinsic viscosity (η) of 0.4-1.2 and the second component comprising polyethylene terephthalate having a η of 0.4-0.7, polypropylene terephthalate having a η of 0.4-1.0 or their mixture are mixed in a mixing weight ratio of (90-40)/(10-60), kneaded with an extruder at 230-285°C at a rotation speed of 5-30RPM for 0.5-10 mix, extruded at an extrusion rate of 0.1-3g/min/hole in a temperature range of 230-275°C, and subsequently divided to produce the nonwoven fabric having an average fiber diameter of 0.5-20μm, a filling degree of 0.05-0.3 and a dry thermal shrinkage degree of ≤10% at an average temperature between the melting point and the glass transition point of the first component polymer.
