A solvent resistant nonwoven fabric of totally aromatic polyamide, in which (modulus of elongation × thickness of nonwoven fabric), a parameter of strength, is ≥100 N/cm in the manufacturing direction of the nonwoven fabric and at least one of the perpendicular directions (crossing directions) to the manufacturing direction, after 3 minute immersion in N,N- dimethylacetamide at 60°C.
