To provide a nonwoven fabric which shows good wipe-off property when it is applied to a wiping sheet such as a cleaning sheet by use of its raised surface and further has good feeling when it is applied to a skin care use such as a toilet paper.

A nonwoven fabric comprises a first projecting part projecting to a first side and a second projecting part projecting a second side. Both parts are alternately formed in a first direction and a second direction of a sheet plane with both parts being connected via a wall part, so that an embossed pattern is formed. The wall part is formed into a ring structure and the wall part has a fiber orientation orthogonal to the sheet plane substantially at every point in a plane defined by the first direction and the second direction. The nonwoven fabric has a raised fiber group on at least a portion of its surface in the first side and/or in the second side.
