To provide a norcepharadione B derivative which is weak in side effects and has an excellent inflammatory cytokine production-inhibiting action, and to provide a food preparation, a cosmetic, and an inflammatory agent comprising the same.
This norcepharadione B derivative having the inflammatory cytokine production-inhibiting action is a derivative obtained by binding norcepharadione B to either of caprylic acid, laurylic acid, 14-methylpalmitic acid, eicosapentaenoic acid, docosahexaenoic acid, docosapentaenoic acid, alpha-lipoic acid, gamma-linolenic acid, stearic acid, and methylstearic acid, and is obtained by adding lipase for transesterification to the ground product of Houttuynia cordata leaves, heating the mixture and then extracting the product with a vegetable oil, or fermenting fishes and soybeans with Bacillus natto and then extracting the fermentation product with a vegetable oil. The food preparation or cosmetic comprises the norcepharadione B derivative, a Chrysanthemum morifolium flower extract-containing vegetable oil, and a pine leaf extract-containing vegetable oil. The inflammatory agent comprises the norcepharadione B derivative.
