Abstract:

To provide a means useful for the diagnosis/prevention/treatment, etc. of liver disease, and a means for improving the accuracy of the diagnosis/treatment, etc. and to use genes as a DNA chip for evaluating relevant medicinal effects/toxicity.

A method for testing liver toxicity, liver disease, and hepatic dysfunction caused by drugs or the efficacy of medicaments to liver disease and a method for identifying preventive or therapeutic agents for liver disease, and a method for preparing data for the test standard are provided, which are used for analyzing nucleic acid molecules comprising respective nucleotide sequences of multiple genes, their partial sequences, or complementary sequences selected from genes specifically expressed in normal hepatocyte or respective antibodies specifically bindable to the respective translation products of multiple genes selected from the genes specifically expressed in the normal hepatocyte.
