To miniaturize a normal and reverse rotation switching device for switchingly transmitting normal rotation and reverse rotation to an output shaft.
A sun gear 11 is fixed to an input shaft 1 rotated in one direction, a first pinion 13 and a second pinion 14 are incorporated in between the sun gear and a ring gear 12, and a carrier 15 rotatably supporting the pinions is integrated with the output shaft 2. A reverse rotation clutch 30 and a first electromagnetic clutch 40 for controlling engagement and disengagement thereof are incorporated in between a clutch drum 17 provided on the ring gear 12 and a housing 18, and a normal rotation clutch 50 and a second electromagnetic clutch 60 for controlling engagement and disengagement thereof are incorporated in between the clutch drum 17 and the output shaft 2, so that the output shaft 2 is rotated in the same direction as the input shaft 1 by engagement of the normal rotation clutch 50, and the output shaft 2 is rotated in the reverse direction to the input shaft 1 by engagement of the reverse rotation clutch 30. Two-way roller clutches are used as the clutches 30 and 50, whereby the normal and reverse rotation switching device is miniaturized.
