Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive thermo-sensor by housing an inorganic insulator, fuse wire rod, and welding electrode wire rod in a metallic tube and connecting the fuse wire rod at the front end section of an MI cable which is reduced in diameter by percentage reduction of area with the front end of the welding electrode wire rod. CONSTITUTION:After the cores of a fuse wire rod 4 and the front end of a welding electrode wire rod 5 are connected to each other by welding in a empty space 6, the space 6 is filled up with glass 9 and sealed by welding a lid 10. Then a lead wire 12 is connected to the wire rod 4. The thermo-sensor is completed when a sleeve is formed by integrally molding the other end side of the cable 1 with the front end side of the lead wire 12. When the place where the normally-closed sensor is installed, reaches a prescribed temperature, the wire rod 4 melts and is disconnected from the wire rod 5 in the glass 9. Then the thermo-sensor generates an alarm signal.
