Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an optical system wherein images of a plurality of elliptic spots having the minor axis in a main scanning direction are formed so as to be inclined with respect to the main scanning direction.
CONSTITUTION: In a multi-beam laser recording device wherein a plurality of laser spots are arranged on a photosensitive body 10 so as to be inclined with respect to a main scanning direction. a scanning optical system of the device includes at least a laser array 1 for delivering a plurality of laser beams, a collimator optical system, a first beam shaping unit 2 for converting laser beams from the collimator system to laser beams having perfectly circular section, and a second beam shaping unit 12 for converting laser beams from the unit 2 to laser beams having elliptic section.
