Abstract:
To provide a compound which is a glycogen phosphorylase inhibitor and is useful as a therapeutic and preventive agent for insulin-dependent diabetes (type 1 diabetes), particularly non-insulin-dependent diabetes (type 2 diabetes), insulin-resistant diseases and obesity.
The amide derivative comprises an indole ring, a thienopyrrole ring or the like bonded to a bicyclic condensed ring such as tetrahydronaphthalene and indan via an amide bond, where the bicyclic condensed ring has a hydroxyl group.
