Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an antimicrobial composition that has very stable and broad antimicrobial spectrum and has improved therapeutic index (in other words improved safety and effectiveness), when compared with conventional hypochlorites. CONSTITUTION: This new antimicrobial composition comprises the reaction product of poly(vinyl pyrrolidone) and hypochlorite.
