Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL:A compound expressed by the formula [R represents H or -(CH2)3NH(CH2)4NH2] or salt thereof.

USE: An antimicrobial agent against Gram-positive bacteria, Gram-negative bacte ria, fungi and yeasts and a miticide.

PREPARATION: A bacterium, capable of producing bagougeramine A and/or bagougeramine B and belonging to the genus Bacillus [example; Bacillus circulans subsp. acidimpatiens TB-2125 (FERM-P No.8518), etc.] is cultured preferably under an aerobic condition by a subnmerged liquid cultivation method at 25W32°C and 7.5W9.0pH.
