PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a use of novel application of Lactuca indica extract.SOLUTION: The invention relates to testosterone 5α-reductase inhibitor, VEGF expression promoter, ASIP expression inhibitor, CSF2 expression promoter and Hair restoration promoter, which are characterized by containing a Lactuca indica extract as an active ingredient; and a composition adding gloss to the hair, a composition adding tension to the hair, a composition adding sturdiness to the hair, a composition making hair flexible, and a composition retaining moisture of hair, which are characterized by containing a Lactuca indica extract.
