Abstract:

NEW MATERIAL: A compd. of formula I (Ar is an (optionally substd.) aryl; R is an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkinylalkoxyalkyl, (respectively optionally substd.) aralkyl, aryloxyalkyl, aryl; formula II; Z is N, CH; R1 is H, an alkyl, an alkenyl, an alkinyl, etc.; R2 is H, an alkyl an alkoxyalkyl, etc.; or R1 and R2 together form an (optionally substd.) heterocyclic ring together with N which these are bonded which may further contain optionally heteroatoms. and its acid addition salt.

EXAMPLE: 1-(4-Fluorophenyl)-1-(2-methylthiazol-4-yl)-2-(1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-ethanol.

USE: The compd. is useful as an antifungal agent.

PROCESS: The compd. of formula I is obtd. by bringing a compd. of formula III and a compd. of formula IV into reaction.
