Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cytotoxic complex of geometrically trans isomerism including at least one planar geometry ligand that can largely improve the cytotoxicity of the complex with the trans configuration.
SOLUTION: This trans complex including at least one plane ligand is represented by the formula: [PtX2(L)(L')] (X is an arbitrary anion group and L and L' are each pyridine, quinoline, isoquinoline, acridine, pyrazole, thiazole, imidazole, benzimidazole, benzothiazole and other pyridine-like planar aromatic and pseudo aromatic heterocyclic ring where if L differs from L', L' is ammonia, a primary or secondary amine or sulfoxide.
