Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:Bis(dimethyl-substituted benzoyl)peroxide shown by the formula I .
EXAMPLE: Bis(2,3-dimethylbenzoyl)peroxide.
USE: A crosslinking agent for solicone rubber. An extremely improved crosslinking agent having high crosslinking rate, best productivity, especially carrying out hot air crosslinking, showing no blooming.
PREPARATION: 2mol dimethyl-substituted benzoyl chloride shown by the formula II is reacted with 1mol hydrogen peroxide in the presence of a deoxidizer such as sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, etc. to give a compound shown by the formula I .
