Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound (syn isomer) shown by the formula I [R1 is (protected)amino; R2 is lower alkyl; R3 is H, salt-forming cation or carboxyl- protecting group; R4 and R5 are H, lower alkyl or halogen], its salt or its ester.
EXAMPLE: 7-[ 2-Methoxyimino-2-( 2-aminothiazol-4-yl )-acetamido ]-3-[2-(thiozol-2-yl)vinyl]-3-cephem-4-carboxylic acid.
USE: An antibacterial agent against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria and resistant bacteria.
PREPARATION: A compound shown by the formula II or a reactive derivative at its amino group or its salt is reacted with a compound shown by the formula III or a reactive derivative at its carboxyl group or its salt.
