Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel clathrate compound having a different composition ratio from before, using 2-phenyl-4-methyl-5-hydroxymethyl-imidazole as a guest compound, and polyhydroxy benzoic acids as a host compound.SOLUTION: Provided is a clathrate compound comprising 2-phenyl-4-methyl-5-hydroxymethyl-imidazole and at least one selected from polyhydroxy benzoic acids represented by the formula (I), where a molar ratio of 2-phenyl-4-methyl-5-hydroxymethyl-imidazole and polyhydroxy benzoic acid represented by the formula (I) is 2:1. Mixing of the two compounds is not conducted in a 1:1 ratio, but by a method of mixing in a ratio of 1 (host) to 2 (guest). In the formula (I), n is 2 or 3.SELECTED DRAWING: None
