PURPOSE: To provide a medicinal composition effective for the treatment of disturbances of the respiratory system, cerebrovascular disorders, neuron degenerative disorders, etc., containing a specified substituted thioura and a cyanoguanidine (including a new material).
CONSTITUTION: A medicinal composition containing a compound of formula I (R1 is an aryl substituted with CN, NO2, CF3, a halogen, an alkyl or the like; R2 is S or NCN; and R3 is an alkyl or an aryl) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt or solvent thereof. The compound of formula I (R2 is NCN when R1 is 4-t-butylphenyl and R3 is phenyl; and R2 is S when R1 is 3- or 4-cyanophenyl, and R3 is 1,2,2-trimethylpropyl or when R1 is 2,6-dichlorophenyl, and R3 is t- butyl) is a new compound, and can be obtained by for example a process comprising reacting a compound of formula II with a compound of formula III. The daily dose is 0.1-10 mg of the compound of formula I per kg of a body weight.
