Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a diketopyrrolopyrrole pigment improved in tinting strength, dispersibility, resistance to lacquer, migration resistance, heat resistance, light resistance and weatherability by mixing two specific pyrrolopyrroles.
CONSTITUTION: This pigment comprises (a) 99.9-75 wt.% pyrrolopyrrole of formula I [wherein A and B are each independently an alkyl, aralkyl, aryl, or heterocyclic arom. group; R1 and R2 are each H, (substd.) alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl or the like; and X is O or S] and (b) 0.1-25 wt.% pyrrolopyrrole of formula I contg. at least one group selected from among -SO3L, -CO2L, -PO3(L)2, -N(R4)(R5) or formula II, [wherein L is H or a group of the formula: Mn+n or N+H(R3)(R4)(R5) (wherein M is a mon-, di- or trivalent metal cation; n is 1, 2 or 3; and R3, R4 and R5 are each independently H, alkyl, aralkyl, 5-6C cycloalkyl or aryl provided R4 and R5, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, form a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic group)].
