Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a urethane foam having a relatively high resilience, a relatively low elastic modulus, and a suitable free rise core density.
SOLUTION: The method for preparing the flexible polyurethane foam comprises reacting a polyisocyanate and two different polyols under foam forming conditions so as to prepare a rigid foam, and crushing flatly the rigid foam so obtained. The flexible foam not showing a major glass transition in temperatures ranging from -100°C to +25°C is obtained.
