PURPOSE: A liquid tackifier with a plasticizing effect and tackifiability capable of keeping the balance of adhesion and an agglomerating property, which primarily comprises a polyalkylene glycol ester of rosin.
CONSTITUTION: A liquid tackifier primarily comprising at least one polyalkylene glycol ester of rosin of formula I, II, III or IV (wherein R is a skeleton of a rosin acid from gum, tall oil, wood, hydrogenated, disproportionated rosin, etc.; E is an ethylene oxide residue; P is a propylene oxide residue; n and x+y are each a positive integer of 0.5W2.5 on the average). Said liquid tackifier has an excellent tackifiability and good biodegradability, is widely miscible with a variety of base polymers, causes no environmental pollution, and has characteristics necessary as a plasticizer.
