Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide the novel peptide having an excellent antigerminal activity and used as an antigerminal agent because of substantially not having toxicity.
CONSTITUTION: The peptide represented by the below-described amino acid sequence formula or its salt, and the antigerminal agent containing the same as an active ingredient. Arg-Leu-Lys-Cys-Leu-Leu-Cys-Arg-Leu-Lys-Y [Y is the carboxyl group (-COOH) of a lysine residue at the carboxyl end of the peptide, or a carbamyl group (-CONH2) produced by the amidation of carboxyl group].
