Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A piperidine derivative of formula I (l is 0 or 1; m is 0 or an integer 1W5; A is OH, halogen etc.; X is O, S, etc.; R is 1W4C straight chain alkylene; R1 is H or lower alkyl; n is 0 or an integer 1W4; R2 is OH, lower alkoxyl, etc.) and an acid addition salt thereof.
EXAMPLE: 1-( 3,4-Methylenedioxybenzolymethyl )-4-( 2-cyanoimino-3,4-dihydro-1H- quinazolin-3-yl)piperidine.
USE: A hypotensive agent.
PROCESS: A novel piperidine derivative of formula 1 is reacted with a compound of formula III (X' is O, S, etc.; Z is halogen or leaving group) in an inert solvent, e.g. acetone or benzene, to give the compound of formula I. The reaction is carried out more smoothly in the presence of a base, e.g. pyridine or NaOH.
