EXAMPLE: (R,S)-2-(L-1-benzoylpyrrolidin-2-yl)-acetic acid ethyl ester.
USE: Having strong proline specificity endopeptidase activity and useful as a drug for alleviating amnesia.
PREPARATION: A pyrrolidine derivative shown by formula VIII (R25 is group shown by formula V or VII) is reacted with a carboxylic acid shown by the formula R26-OH, further optionally oxidized, deprotected and hydrolyzed to give a compound shown by formula I.
