Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I {Z is group of formula II to IV [R1 and R2 are H or lower alkyl; R3 is H, OH or lower alkyl; R4 is H, OH, amino, aminomethyl or (di)lower alkylaminomethyl]}.
EXAMPLE: 9,1-(Methylimino)methano-7-fluoro-8-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-5-oxo-5H- thioazolo[3,2-a]quinoline-4-carboxylic acid.
USE: An antibacterial agent.
PREPARATION: The objective compound can be produced by reacting 9,1-(methylimino)methano-7,8-difluoro-5-oxo-5H-thiazolo-[3,2-a]quinoline-4- carboxylic acid of formula V with a cyclic amine (acid addition salt) of formula ZH in a polar organic solvent (e.g. dimethyl sulfoxide) in the presence of an acid acceptor (e.g. triethylamine).
