PURPOSE: To prevent damages of small bags from being cod by impacts applied to them at the time of transportation and handling by supplying the small bags packed and sealed onto a corrugated board sheet which is in a semi-formed flat state so that the sealed portions of the small bags are directed upward or downward, packaging the small bags in the corrugated board, sealing the corrugated board and keeping the sealed parts of the small bags in a downward state.
CONSTITUTION: After a plurality of small bags packed with powdered materials and/or granular materials and sealed are piled on a plane in such a state that the sealed parts are directed upward, or in such a state that the sealed parts are directed downward, the small bags are supplied onto a corrugated board sheet which is in a semi- formed flat state. The small bags are packaged in the corrugated board while being reinforced or without being reinforced with partitioning corrugated boards and, simultaneously, the corrugated board sheet in the flat state is starched, made in the form of a box and sealed. The corrugated board box is transported and handled in a state that the sealed portions of the small bags of the contents are directed downward while the top and bottom of the corrugated board box are inverted or not inverted. By this method, the number of corrugated board boxes to be used is greatly reduced as compared with a setup packaging system.
