Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject agent capable of maintaining a residual effectiveness for a long period of time and potentiating an exterminating effect by preparing a naphthalene-based compound as an aqueous suspended formulation. SOLUTION: This noxious organism exterminating agent contains usually 0.1-60 wt.%, preferably 1-40 wt.% one kind, or two or more kinds of compounds expressed by the formula [(n) is 0-4; (m) is 0, 1; R is a halogen, OH, nitro, cyano, an alkyl, etc.: R1 , R2 are each a (substituted) alkoxy or =O, =S, etc., by joining them together; R3 is OH, OL (L is an alkanoyl or an alkylsulfonyl); R6 is a (substituted) alkyl, an alkenyl, etc.; R7 , R8 are each the same as R1 , R2 ; R4 , R5 are each a halogen, a (substituted) alkyl, etc.; A is a (substituted) alkyl, an alkenyl, etc.], e.g. [2-(1,1-dimethylpropyl)-3-hydroxynaphthalene-1,4- dione, etc.], in a formation. For example, the compound of the formula is finely crushed in water together with additives such as a dispersing agent to obtain a suspension for preparing an aqueous suspended formulation.
