Title:
NOZZLE ASSEMBLY FOR PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING ALLOY CONTINUOUSLY AND MANUFACTURE OF NOZZLE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3333537
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a nozzle assembly in which process control suitable for maintaining a stable skull layer that is hardened to the inside of a nozzle can be used.
CONSTITUTION: A nozzle 14 is made of an outer wall 18 that is made of a material such as copper with a relatively high thermal conductivity and a non- contamination material for a melted metal 24 to be machined and treated and is provided with an inner liner 22 that operates as a skull layer. By increasing the cooling heat transfer coefficient in the nozzle, the hardening layer in the steady state of a non-contamination liner material is maintained. The cooling heat transfer coefficient can be increased by reducing the contact resistance of a nozzle outer wall member and the inner liner being created by the non- contamination material. For reducing the contact resistance, the nozzle outer wall member around the inner liner is shrunk and the contact pressure between the members is increased.
